Firm, school to offer course on medical transcription

Dagupan City—Total Transcription Solutions Inc. (TTSI) and the Lyceum Northwestern University in this city have signed an agreement which is expected to provide opportunities for future medical transcriptionists in the outsourcing industry.
TTSI is affiliated with the American Association for Medical Transcription (AAMT), Medical Transcription Industry Association (MTIA), and TESDA. It is technically supported by its partners—Integrated Document Solutions (IDS) and Cybersoft Data Networks Inc.
TTSI will offer medical transcription preparatory courses in the Lyceum Northwestern University.
MT Preparatory is an intensive 18-hour orientation course that provides the students with fundamental understanding of medical transcription and helps gauge their suitability to enter a formal MT training program. It is a part of e-Transcription Training Solutions and Innovations (e-TTSI) program, which is aimed at enabling schools to product professionally competent medical transcriptionists.
